A taxi pulls up to the Pemex pump. The attendant slides a steel ramp behind a rear wheel. The taxista backs onto it.
The ramp is purpose-built. Attendant and driver employ it with the ease of long practice.
I want to know—what is the point?
My guess? The ramp allows a little more fuel to fit into the tank, so the taxista gets a skosh more range between pit stops.
And have you seen them shaking it afterwards so it is really full?

Yes - they actually shake the rear end to be sure there is no air and that they will get every last drop in there - funny really.
